Hopes for Back-to-School Time

Dear Friends,
Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! I pray that your summer has been good. It has been good to see all sorts of vegetables and fruits being produced this summer. God is providing for us.

These growing fruits and vegetables are not the only items that are growing. Have you noticed the children? They are growing faster than we thought they would! Oh, they are bringing joy to our lives. Our children and grandchildren will be starting school soon. The pictures of our loved ones on the first day of school will look different from any picture we take of them on the last day of this school year. They are going to keep on growing.

As we remember how much fun we had in school, or at least how we tried to have fun in school, we hope for our children to have as much fun as we did. We hope their teachers are sweet and kind. We hope the bullies learn to control their tongues. We hope for wise decisions by the powers that be in regards to the schools our children attend. We hope for good school lunches for all of the children.

As our children and grandchildren keep on growing, my prayer is that our faith in God will also continue to grow. Our children and grandchildren sure do need some good examples of good, healthy faith as they grow in this world!

See you Sunday!
