What are we to do with the children?

I picked up book at our at our most recent Annual Conference.  As books do sometimes, they get us to think.  That is what happened to me!  My prayer is that as we teach the children about Jesus Christ, they get to see us live our faith in Jesus Christ!  I want to thank Christopher Miles Ritter who wrote Seven Things John Wesley Expected Us to Do for Kids.  There is no better time than the present to teach the children, as many children as possible, all children, about Jesus Christ.

We all know some children.  There are children in our own homes.  There are children in our adult children’s homes.  There are children next door.  There are children down the road from us and from our churches.  These creations of God need to hear and see about Jesus Christ.  We are the people for the job.

Over the next two months, we will have a sermon series called, “What are we to do with the children?”  There is going to be much praying happening as we discover all the good God has for us to pass onto the children!

The sermon titles come directly from the chapter titles of Rev. Dr. Ritter’s book.
